Help,
I am completely stuck trying to find relatives of Thomas Allan Johnson who was born 1913, Hartlepool. I know that he registered his mother death in General Hospital, Chester le street and the address she lived at was Northside, Birtley, Durham. His mother was Lillie Amelia. 1886- 1975.
I know that his brother Sidney died in Bracknell Berkshire 1989. A man called John Potter registered his death as his nephew.
Unfortunately I cannt go and look up the obituaries as the library in Durham and Bracknell have no fascilities to do it for you and I live in Cornwall!
I cannot find a death for Thomas which may even sugest he is still alive at the age of 95 this April. or he went to live out of the country.
I have tried everything I can think of to find them.
Newspaper adverts etc.

Thomas A Johnson mothers maiden name Ferris in Hartlepool vol 10a page 278. 2nd qtr 1913.

I had a breainwave and got in touch with a neighbour who comes from the north of England. Hoipefully she can find a relative to go and have alook at the papers in the library.Last hope!

I will do that asap.
I know someone in the village where I live who comes from Newcastle. I rang and asked if she had any family in the Birtley area which is where Lillie (Thomas mother) lived before she died. She has put me in touch with someone who is going to Gateshead Library for me to look up her death and obituary.
Brilliant!!
I will also try the Tees valley indexes and together we may get somewhere.
It would be great if you can have a look for me. The more options the better.
I have a feeling in me bones that Thomas may still be alive. He would be 95 this year. How great would that be? He came to Cornwall during the war and visited the family here but no-one has seen him since so he knows we exsist.
