TRYING TO FIND JOHNSON - KENT

Hi My grandfather, John Johnson was born in Kent. His father was also John Johnson. My GF left Kent when he was quite young (maybe 14 or so) and allegedly went to sea as Merchant seaman. He left because his father (my GGF) remarried and he did not like his new stepmum. He eventually married Mary Burns and settled in Wales. Anyone know anything about that family?????/ Thanks

My father, William Patrick Cornelius Johnson b 24 May 1912. His father John Johnson b 1878 in Kent. John Johnson married Mary Burns 9 Apr 1904. He died 17 Jan 1954 in Wales. Any info on GF or GGF would be appreciated. I have no info on the Kent connection other than family recollections. I cannot find a birth cert for my GF but have a death cert for him. My GGF also John Johnson (b around 1839) might have married a Helen/Ellen Morgan. Thanks

Thanks. I have the marriage cert of John and Mary (9 Apr 1904) but really want birth cert for John so I can clarify name of his mother.
