Ada Johnson b1889 Owmby By Spital was born 20/11/1889 and her husband George Albert Boyce born 30/11/1889 (I think in Bath).

I had the wrong details that affects my whole tree and would appreciate the 1891 and 1901 census information so that I can basically start again.
Something like this always happens when I'm skint and cannot afford Ancestry Renewal so I would be most grateful for your help.

Thank You, Colin.

How did you manage to get the data you had wrong, if at the time you had Ancestry subs

Need to know where you went wrong so we don't repeat your erros...

Wayne /Tracey
My info for my granmother was from my mum and I took it at face value. Unfrotunately I was assuming she was fully compus-mentus at that time and didn't bother purchasing the birth certificates.
A lesson for us all perhaps is not to take everything your elderly relatives say, as gospel.

hahahaha... yeah know that feeling, we still have a 95 yr old in our family. He goes on forevere about people as if they are still 40 years old.... his concept of time has stopped somewhere around 1965 !!

Ok so we are looking for Ada & George.

Who were their fathers Colin?

As I await birth certs. with no living relatives left to consult for more errors I have no further details.

Ok i thought you might have had the marriage cert?

There is an issue because there are 2 Ada Johnson's born about the same area only a year or so apart, and with the way the census can play with ages, it's not worth a guess!

...and again for George, there is nothing that leaps out the page at me.

No certificate again but I am led to believe their marriage was Dec qtr. 1909 at Sheffield. As most of their children from 1911 onwards were born in Sheffield I reckon everything I have cannot be wrong!....or is it? Tee Hee...my luck is not a thing I rely on.
