From Boston Lincs. travelled to Australia 1926 on board "ORSOVA" departing London 3rd April 1926. Last address was 9, Horncastle Road Boston, Lincs. Looking for more info as he was a friend of my father. He possibly returned to England shortly after.

Hi Kenneth

National Archives shows he arrived in Melbourne on 4 May 1926, where he disembarked the Orsova. Other records show this ship went to Fremantle WA.

A George Ernest JOHNSON married in Victoria in 1932 to Bertha Victoria Ruby SPENCER (reg 2399). Bertha died in 1949 aged 52. No matching death for george Ernest in Vic for birth c1902 tho.

In WA, a George E JOHNSON married an Ida S A WILTON in 1927 (reg 2, Greenough district).

No deaths for George & Ida in WA, I wonder if she traveled with him in 1931???

Or...

A George Edward JOHNSON died in 1985 aged 83 in Daylesford, Victoria, son of Joseph & Martha.
