can anybody help i am seeking a family so can anyone do an look up for a frank and doris johnson living in little clacton (near clacton on sea - near colchester.
any infomation on them at all would be good to know so i can search through the family history as know nothing about farhers side of family and because of common name were finding it hard. to even get far back as grandparents!
i've looked on free bmd,

Can you give some idea of the year - for example when was your father born or his eldest sibling.

Do you have your father's birth cert?

You need to know his mother's maiden name to find their marriage.

Can you give us a rough date for these people? Are they living?

Do you know your grandparents' names? If not the best start is to find your father's birth record if you can.

doris and frank are late 70's so assuming they've passed on , thier son david is in his late 50's/early 60's, colchester area. i don't know dates or any other members of family. it's for a close friend that i'm helping out, david wasn't there to register marks birth so not on the certificate.

There is a David C Johnson born Mar 1946, Ilford, 4a/645, mmn Carter, and a marriage of Frank Johnson to Doris V Carter, Braintree Mary 1951 4a/925. Of course the marriage is after the birth, so might be the wrong people.

To be honest Victoria, you need to see if your friend has a bit more information, such as whether his father had any siblings. We could be chasing the wrong people.

I take it his parents did not marry?
