Trying to find info on ALICE AGNES JOHNSON (maiden name unknown) born probably between 1875 - 1885.
Married to WILLIAM JOHNSON who was a bricklayer (birth date unknown) who died in the marines. they had about 7 children.
They lived in Stockton during the war but not certain they lived there at the time of marriage.

I have posted this before but have deleted the other tread.
Any help as always is very much appreciated.

Hi Dee.
I know one was Cyril Johnson born april 1906 according to his death cer t(died 1977 in Thanet). but can't find him anywhere and think the birth date is wrong. Other possible names according to my Dad's memory are Len, Ernie, Edward

Thanks very much but I'm not sure as she was alive in the late 1960's and this would make her to old I think. But thank you anyway.

I know, My family information is very Vague.
Cyril Johnson born 11th April 1906 and died in thanet in 1977.
He married Edith Attwood in 1940. she lied about her name and age when they got married, called herself Johnson and was 41 years old instead of 33.
Looks like with the info I have, it's a 'needle in a haystack'!
Alice agnes johnson lived at 64 swainby road in 1953.
but William died before in 1940 in the army.

Thats about all I have

I remember a thread before about this, why have you deleted it?

I didn't want to upset anyone by starting two threads with the same family name. I know how annoying it must be.

You could just have added to that one rather than start another, it may have been helpful to see what had already been found.

Hi Robert,

sorry I had visitors arrive unexpectantly.

Just reading through what has been put on here and I wonder if you could clear something up?

You say William died around 1940 in WW2, and he also had a son born in 1906, so lets say William was 20 yrs old when Cyril was born, giving a rough year of birth of 1886? So he would have been around 54 when he died in the war????? Although not entirely impossible I do wonder about this myself.

Does Cyril's marriage certificate confirm his fathers death? Who are the witnesses on it?
