Samuel and William Johnson

Samuel, b 1806? in england. Went to Ireland ...Dublin.., married Elizabeth from Dublin. Had William Christopher Johnson in 1839, in Dublin. Both men were Cabinet Makers. Can find no record of the family in England prior to 1871, so assume they arrived from Ireland before that.

William married Catherine Knowles from Cork in 1863 (in London), and Marie Barley in 1887, buit its what happened befor 1871 I 'm interested in. Don't even know if he had siblings, althougth he must have .

Catherine...What was Elizabeths maiden name..?

1881 census
William C Johnson born 1839 cabinet maker head
Catherine wife born 1845 Cork
Elizabeth daughter born 1866 Bethnal Green
Samuel son born 1867 Bow
William son born 1869 Bethnal Green
Arthur son born 1871 Bethnal Green
Edward son born 1876 Bethnal Green
Bernard son no age given maybe newborn Bethnal Green
They also had a servant Hannah Wilson aged 21 and they were living 19, East Side of Green, Bethnal Green Middlesex.

1871 census They are living in Bethnal Green with the four older children and Elizabeth Johnson - mother born 1806 in Dublin.

Cannot find them in 1891

1901 William C is with Maria there are two sons still at home Bernard age 20 and Percy 18 who is said to be the son of William and Maria

Thanks ..have all that info about William C..by the way ....he ended up in Leeds with Marie and sons

As for ELizabeth...thats part of the problem......I dont know anything more abouther...certaily not a maiden name...sorry.
