hi there.have just found out that my grandad was a prisoner of war from 1940 to 1945 at sachgenhausen camp. his name was arthur johnson and served in the warickshire regiment.does any one know were i could look up prisoner of war records?

yhanks very much,the problem i have is, he was called arthur walter johnson,born in haslingden,lancashire.he was involved in a famous atrocity carried out by the germans in a wood just outside dunkirk,the rear guard action were captured and put in a barn,the germans threw grenades in and then machine gunned them inside the barn ,the survivors were marched out in 5s and shot,he was one of them,he survived and was put in saschenhausen camp.but we can find no deatils
