I am trying to find any information on WILLIAM JOHNSON born abt 1817 in Wellington, Shropshire according to 1860 census. He married JANE GETHEN at St Marks, Shelton, Hanley, Staffs. After their marriage WILLIAM & JANE JOHNSON lived in Norton, Burslem and Hanley, Staffs. They had three children, HARRIET, MARY ANN & JAMES JOHNSON (my great, great grandfather) WILLIAM JOHNSON is not in the Parish records for Shropshire, or is he in the 1820 census for Shropshire. So I have no idea of where he was between his birth and his marriage or that of his parents. If any of this rings a bell with anyone then please, please contact me. Thank you. |
