Need help finding Ellen Jones

Hi. I am really stuck on this person
Ellen Jones born 10 August 1900. (Death cert. gives Poole as place born)
Marriage cert gives Father as Absolom Jones a Dealer. (married at Farnham Registry Office 28 April 1926 age 25yrs)
Cannot find any birth cert for her.
Cannot find them on 1901 or 1911 census
Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

I haven't found anything either and as I can't find a marriage for Absolom Jones, I'm wondering if she was an illegitimate child and therefore her birth was registered under her mothers name?
Any idea what her mother was called?

If she was born in Poole on 10th Aug. 1900 these are the possibilities for her birth assuming that she was registered Aug. onwards. I think you only have six weeks to register a birth so the chances are she is one of the top two.

Births Sep 1900 (>99%)
Kearley Ellen Poole 5a 261
Ritty Ellen Louise Poole 5a 249

Births Dec 1900 (>99%)
Brown Ellen Jessie Poole 5a 238

she married a Webster, her maiden name was Jones, so those wouldn't fit

assuming it's Poole in Dorset, but there are other Pooles

Hi Cagsie.
Sorry about delay problems getting online.
Poole Dorset would have been the one. As no one is around to ask about siblings that is one of the reasons I am stuck. Daft but this woman was my husbands Grandmother and all he knows is that she had always lived in the Hampshire area but was born in Poole. When he went to visit her in Aldershot there were always lots of relations about but he never really knew what the connection was. As he has one sister and she has no more information I guess that is it and I will not be able to go back any further.
