Have you got an occupation for Alfred? If so, have you used this in your search?

Hi Brumiejam

In Oz he was a carpenter.
He likes to mess with his age ,in his marriage cert he puts his age as 38 in 1918,that makes him born 1877.
In Census he was bn 1882-3,he was not with the family in the1881 census, the youngerst then was his brother Horace age one
He died in Western Australia in 1929 age 52 again this matches with his marrage cert but in census he was bn 1882-3.
He is a problem for me.
Many Thanks in advance.Sue

There is this bloke, born Wolverhampton (Tettenhall is in W'ton now, don't know about back then). He is a carpenter:

JONES FRED M 1881 30 Wolverhampton Staffordshire

Annie and Edward, still living Long Lake:

JONES ANNE F 1842 69 Wolverhampton Staffordshire
JONES EDWARD M 1837 74 Wolverhampton Staffordshire

No other Joneses living there I think, so it seems he has left home. Checked 1901, he was definitely a carpenter.
