hi my name is carole and i'm trying to find my great grand mother. Amy jones born 1871. st peters parish hereford. in 1911 she was in the union workhouse in hereford and was 40 years old, she had a daughter, my nan in 1902 in the same workhouse, my nan was in ivy house childrens home in hereford in the 1911 census, i'm trying to find out about Amy jones senior to see who her family were, if she had brothers and sisters and who her parents were. i've no idea when she died or where. can anyone help. thankyou. carole.

I'm still trying to find her in the earlier census records but I'm unsure as to whether she married or not. If Sarah is her Mother then it seems unlikely but of course Eliza could have married another Jones. Not short of those in Herefordshire!

in the 1911 cenus i have for amy jones in the workhouse she is 40 and single, i;ve looked at other census and thought eliza was amy's mother and sarah her grandmother.
