Trying to find any relations to Ann Jones 1835/1906 she married William Meakin at registery office in Newark on 1st July 1856.. On marriage cert. William was a widower aged 26 1830/ 1884 occupation agrricutural labourer living at Bowbridge Lane Newark, his father was Benjamine Meakin also agricutrual labourer.
Ann Jones was aged 21 spinster occupation domestic servant living at Bowbridge Lane Newark, her father was Thomas Jones agricultural labourer
I have been told that William had married Sarah Jones Ann`s sister but have not been able to prove or disprove this,sadly Sarah died l beleive.

Unfortunately ages were not recorded at that time.
But I can find no marriage for William Meakin/Mekin/ Makin to a Sarah Jones.Maybe they did not marry legally?
Or he married another Sarah.
Sarah Jones seems to be gone from 1861 census and I can find no marriage for her in the area...So that death could be her I suppose.
