Find Ancestors

Hi I'm trying to find Emma King. Born abt 1843 in Somerset (that's all her death cert had). She married Cornelius Sparkman in 1871 in Radipole, Weymouth which was given as her place of residence on her marr cert. Shortly after this she and her husband emigrated to NZ and I can track her after this. She may have had a sister Fanny as there was a single lady of this name on the same shipping record. She may also have had a sister Jane as this was on the marr cert as was her father James. Not a lot to go on but if anyone can help I'd much appreciate it.

Hi, there is an Emma King on 1851 census, father James King. Also sister Francis, can't see a Jane. Born in Hinton Blewett, Somerset. Right age. Maybe someone else can copy the details for you on here. (Sorry don't know how).

Still with her family on 1861 census. Got a sister called Sarah Jane. What occupation did it give for her father on marriage cert. On both census details he is a farmer of land about 160 acres. Just to check if it is the right family.

Emma never seems to have given much info about herself. The marr cert has no occupation, same with the shipping records and her death cert. Her father is listed as a labourer on the marr cert.

I'll now follow through your great leads and see where it takes me.
