grandparent's king

aim still trying to find my grandparent when they were born and died .i it have my dads Reginald Fredrick king birth cert born st ebbs in oxford 3/12/1906 but it only got his mum name on it.margaret king Ialso have my mum and dads marriage cert married in abingdon at st Helen 26/12/1928 my mother name is Edith Maud saywell but only had my mother dad name on it with my dad dad Charles Fredrick king was deceased if any body got any advise I be very grateful peter

If your dad's birth certificate didn't have a father named then he was probably illegitimate. Many illegitimate children "made up" a deceased father on their marriage certificate to "save face" in front of their in-laws.
