My great grandmothers'name was Hannah Tweddle, born at Thursby nr. Carlisle in 1862. Her parents names was Joseph and Hannah Tweddle - he was a plate layer on the railways - She had at least three brothers - Edward, William and John. Hannah gave birth to my grandfather Herbert William at the age of 26 but was not married. Does anyone know of any connection with the Tweddles or recall any such story being told. I have an old photo taken about 1890 which we think is of Hannah. Any more photos of the Tweddle family taken at that time could prove to be a help. Hannah moved down to Preston, Lancs where she married a station master at Lea in 1894, his name was Joseph King and about 30 years her senior. Thank you |
