Hello,

I am trying to find out more about about George Lee born c1796, probably in Devon?

He married a lady called Margaret and they had 4 children:
William Lee born c1831 (in Totnes?)
Thomas Lee born c1834 (in Totnes?)
Edward James Lee 1839 - 1919 (in Totnes?) (my great great grandfather)
Charles Lee born c1842 (in Totnes?)

There is a George Lee christened 13 Sep 1795 Buckfastleigh Devon (abt eight miles from Totnes) whose parents were William Lee and Elizabeth Cole married 18 Apr 1786.

On the 1851 Census at Totnes there is listed:-
Margaret Lee widow age 50 born South Brent
William Lee son age 20 Ironmonger`s Assistant
Thomas Lee son age 17 no occupation shown
Edward Lee son 11 Draper`s Errand Boy
Charles Lee age 9 Scholar
All sons born at Totnes
South Brent is just a few miles from Buckfastleigh
