my great grandad was Frederick lee born c 1885. We think that he was a londoner but he could have been born in Ireland or his parents were irish. He was a boxer and according to my grt aunt he was known as Tansey or Tansie Lee. He was very badly injured in the first world war in London and had a metal plate in his head as a result of his injuries. Fred was married to elsie grace lovelock from Hants and they lived in Andover all their married life where he died in c1955. Sometimes he worked away in london-Woolwich - where he had lodgings. |
