cant find samuel lee's parents

i'm trying to find the parents of samuel lee but i cant find his birth anywhere. i know he married eliza armstrong but i dont know what year, they had children named william, joseph, eliza, madeline, atheliah, george, elizabeth and samuel. the samuel i am queerying was born 1812 in open gates according to the census's but i cant find anything about his birth. if anyone could help me find his parents and where they were from i would be gratefull. my nan told me that the lee's origionated from gypsies but i have found no evedence of this. i wont be at my computer now till around 9.30 tonight as i have to get dinner sorted and then little one settled in bed. thanks to anyone who can help in advance till i get back on tonight, helen

i am confused now, as on the 1851 census he is down as being born in open gate shropshire, and his children were born in brockmoor and emmerside staffordshire. the name of eliza is correct, she was also born in shropshire though.
