I am trying to find out more about my Great Grandfather George J Lee born St James London 1827 in the Parish of Hackney. He was a Carplenter. and along with my Grandfather and Father does not seem to appear anywhere on the 1901 census. I would like to try to trace the date of his death. Any information would be welcome. Thanks

There is a death on freebmd in Dec 1861 of a George Joseph Williams Lee in Hackney. Have you found him on a census since this date?_JLe........answered my own query as I have found him on the 1891 census......
just re-reading your query are you saying that your gt grandfather, grandfather and father were all missing off the 1901 and presuming your gt grandfather had died?

My Grandfather was Edwin George John Lee born at 1866. Hackney
and my Grandmother's Margaret (formerly Lynch) born abt 1868
My Father is a mystery, his name was Edwin Joseph Charles Lee and was born 12th February 1889 in Hackney London Middx
Can't seem to find mention of him or his parents since 1891census when they were all living with my Great Grandfather George J Lee.
