Trying to find information/relatives of Horace Lee b.11/11/1898. (He married Evelyn Holland in 1922 and died in 1992), Siblings Charles, Hilda and Annie. Father Charles and mother Eliza. I think Horace was born in Thorne, but the family moved between Chesterfield and Rotherham. Any information would be great - thanks so much.

the 1911 census confirms a birth place of Whittington for George born 1873.

Thanks for the replies so far - I'm looking for ancestors - I know Horace's parents were Charles and Eliza. His brother (eldest born) was Charles (so prior to 1898 when Horace was born) and he had two sisters (younger than him) Hilda and Annie. The area would be Thorne, Doncaster/Chesterfield/Rotherham. I think it would be best to order Horace's birth certificate, this would give you his mothers maiden name......... if he was born in Chesterfield then this is most likely his birth registration;

Okay - I have finally received Horace Lee and Evelyn Holland marriage certificate. Details:

2nd? Dec 1922 Horace Lee aged 24, Occupation Shearer, Residence Fitzwilliam Street, Father George Lee - occupation Sawman. Evelyn Holland aged 23, Residence Bath Street. father Robert Holland -occupation cutler. Witnesses Harold Holland and Hilda May Lee.

Evelyn's family is not a problem, but I am still struggling with Horace's family - any help would be so gratefully received!

No elder brother Charles there though!

Also if you look at the 1911 census that I gave earlier you will see Hilda May Lee, so it looks like we had the correct family.
