I am trying to find more information on Amelia Elizabeth Lee (Although it sometimes has her surname as Ley) I believe she was born 1846 Hempton Devon and she married George Morrott in 1871 in Devon. Hopefully looking to find her parents. Any help would be appreciated.

I thought that Hempton was in Norfolk.

It is quite funny though how they make mistakes when doing the census. Out of the 5 children they only got 2 of the names correct. Annie should be Amelia, Lucy should be Lily and Frances should be Florence.

Fantastic just what I was after, I believe it looks correct. Thanks for giving me more to go on, I am fairly new to all this. Much appreciated.

Just for the information, Ilsington is a village on Dartmoor not far from Haytor where we used to go to climb around on the rocks when we were kids.
The nearest town is Bovey tracey slightly to the north east. South east from Ilsington are Newton Abbot & Teignmouth.

And in 1881 Amelia is shown on the record as b Hempton but the image clearly shows Ilsington
!891 has been similarly mistranscribed as Esleiton
