Looking for any information on: Thomas Christopher LEE( b. abt 1904 in Lancashire, England) m.Ellen Godwin (b.1904 in Swindon) abt 1935. He was in the army and died 1946 in Lancashire, He had a sister, Margaret LEE who married a Jack THOMSON.
Apparrently he had an affair and Ellen destroyed all information pertaining him and never mentioned him to their two children ever again. Any info at all very much appreciated.

please can you let me know how to go about getting the Certificate. I am in New Zealand and not familiar with your system in the UK

Hello Julie,

I live in Australia & it's easy.

Go to the website of the General Register Office: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

You have to register, but it's free.

When they ask have you got the ref no., tick yes. (This is the 5a 27 on the index)

It will cost £7 which you can pay through their secured site.
