I have been trying to trace my Lee family back in the 18th century. My 6th Great Grandfather was a William Lee who married a Jane Robson in 1749 Coldwatham. They then moved to West Burton nr Bury a few miles away. I can not find any trace of William's or Jane birth on-line at Coldwatham although many Lees are there with quite unusual first names in common with my line. |

Have you tried a search on this site to see if anyone else is looking for the family, or the IGI on familysearch.org. |

Yes I have tried both, the IGI have a gap in records, I have made contact before with some very helpful distant cousins through genes united but they appear to have stuck on the same line. I have bought a CD of Sutton's Parish Records but Coldwatham and Bury have yet to be transcribed Have also joined the Sussex Family History Site. |
