I AM SEARCHING FOR YORKSHIRE LEE CONTACTS. MY FATHER WAS GEORGE BORN C1937 AND HAD SIBLINGS HARRY, JEAN, BARBARA, MARIE AND PETER. I NEVER NEW MY GRANDPARENTS AND WOULD LOVE TO EXTEND MY TREE FURTHER. THANK YOU.

hello Janet my name is Anna Lee and i am looking for Lee,s in the yorkshire area to my Grandad was the youngest of 13 children with the surname lee all born in Grimsby from 1835 to 1917 but the eldest grandchild was born 1917 as well so there could be a link 1 of the 13 was called geroge maybe your george is his son let me know if any of this is any help to you or if you need to know more. Hi Janet,

I too have roots in Yorkshire. The problem is that it is a large county (and there are so many Lee's). Could you be a bit more specific please.

For example, my ancestors came from Slaithwaite in the south of the county, and even then, there appears to be several familys from this area that are not to my knowlege, related to each other.

My grandmother was born Jessie Lee in Sheffield in 1891. Her parents were George Henry Lee and Sarah Jubb. I have that info from her birth Certificate but haven't managed to go back any further. She married my grandfather, Robert Young,in about 1912
