Trying to find Lee

I'm trying to find info about my gg grandfather George Lee, who married Emma Wadey in 1856. The censuses of 1841-71 have him as born in Houghton or Bury in Sussex around 1833. Unfortunately, there seems to have been another George Lee born in this area the same year (this other George married Elizabeth Sheppard and is not the one I'm looking for!). It's possible that my George had Irish ancestry. George & Emma had 5 children - Fanny (b 1857, m George Sparshott), William (b 1860), George (b 1863), Edward (b 1865, m Sarah Glasspoole) and Ann (b 1867). Big thanks to anyone who can help. Thank you so much for these. I'd kind of given up hope that anyone would ever reply, so this is a lovely surprise! |
