I'm looking for any information about the Lee family from Hersham, Surrey. They are a Romany Gypsy family.Amy,Caroline,Henry, Jane, Joe and William were the children of Henry Lee and Elisabeth(Shoebridge). Henry's parents were George Lee and Amy Parker/Cooper who resided in Molesey Road, Walton- on Thames, Surrey in the early 1900's. Elisabeth's parents were Tom and Caroline who resided in Waltham Cross, London. Tom, im told, was known for making Gypsy caravans. There are conections to the Stevens family and the Drakeley family(travelling showmen. Any help would be really appreciated. |

I have both Lee and Drakeley in my family tree but am not sure if there is any connection to yours. My great grandad was Henry Alfred Lee on one side and Thomas Drakeley on the other. But I have no evidence whatso ever that there was any gypsy connection. Henry married Mary Jane Evans and Thomas married Harriet Reader. |
