lee family of poplar and west ham

I am trying to trace the families of Harry Lee 1898 West ham, and Joseph Lee 1900 of west ham. PArents of both are Frederick and MAry Ann Lee of Poplar Please contact Bill Read ( william)

Hi Bill,

I too have Lee ancestors from this area of London. There seems to be about 4 or 5 families, surnamed Lee, that come from this area so it's all very confusing. For example, I have Fred Lee (b 1873, I think) from this area, but I don't know who his wife was. I do know who his brothers were (no sisters).

Hi All
I have 1 Lee from this area in my tree:
I know this may not help but my Gt.Aunt Elizabeth Dettmar (1912) married a Benjamin Hughes (1912c) and they had a child Kennith Hughes (1930c) this is where it gets weird- Kennith married a William Lee (1930c)
All of this family was born/lived in Poplar, London
