Hi Ann, I've had a look at the family through all the censuses, and would say that Joseph Hunt's wife was Amelia Mary Salter (not Slater) born between 1833 - 1836 on the Isle of Wight. Just going by the 1841 census, her parents appear to be Jacob and Ann (but, of course, Ann could be Jacob's 2nd wife). Do you have access to the censuses? If not, I'll type the information out for you. Although married in 1890, on the 1891 census, Amelia isn't with Joseph, but visiting her family. So it's easy to see we have the right one. Joseph Hunt and Amelia Salter got married in 1856 and their first child was born c.1859. I've not been able to find an Amelia Lewis marrying a Joseph Hunt around this time. |

Sorry, that last bit didn't make sense. I meant that Henry White and Sophia Hunt got married in 1890, and it was Sophia who was visiting her family on the 1891 census. That how we know we have the right Amelia. |
