Gaylene
Welcome.

It is best if you post on just one board at a time.
Anyone able to help will usually look around on all the boards but if you duplicate postings different people may try and help and duplicate what someone on your other thread has found..... All the information grouped in one place also helps people to see possible 'leads' so you have more chance of success.

TIPS board is good for general help and questions, ....RECORDS is ideal for specific help in searching, say a particular census or parish records.

It's best to post a thread when you can stay around for a while, as there are often replies within minutes and helpers may want to ask more questions.

We were all new once, so don't worry too much, you will soon get the idea.

I think we are looking for the same john lewis who married a mary thomas. I found details of his birth in 1821 but also 1816 and 1815, baptism is in 1815 in llandilo fawr church llandeilo. If its the same one did he live in LLanfair-ar-y-bryn?
