Totally stuck can go back no further. Posted this before (and got very hellpful response) - looking for birth certificate of following:

Thomas William Lewis born c 1879Greenwich/Lewisham London
died 4th May 1961 Hither Green
married Elsie May Demmar 7th May 1929
marriage certificate shows: aged 50; father's name John Thomas Lewis deceased
1901 census shows mother Ellen Lewis sister Ellen Lewis brother Richard Lewis
Paid for search of registry for birth certificate - no luck

Can anyone help or suggest where I go from here.

Thanks - yes thats the correct 1901 census entry - have been trying to search all three children but with no luck - found marriage of Thomas to Elsie and marriage of Richard to Patience Barton but no birth certificates for any of the four of them or for the husband/father John Thomas Lewis believe he died in 1894ish

Thanks - but don't think they are the same family definitely came from Greenwich area. 1891 census shows family

Son Thomas Wm Lewis
Daughter Ellen M. Lewis

1901 census shows added brother Richard J. Lewis - know he was at Thomas's funeral in 1961
