I am trying to find family of Ivor George Lewis who was born in 1911 at 8 Maesygray Street, Gilfash, he was one of twelve. It has taken me 5 yrs to find the right Lewis family so I am now hoping someone of the family will contact me. My Grandfather William John Lewis was an older brother of Ivor. |

John, I don't think you are doing anything wrong at all. You are just having to deal with a very common name, and that can be really difficult. The only thing I would say is that you need to decide what it is you want to find out and stick to it for a bit - is it Ivor's family or your grandfather's death? |

John, just to say I did have a look for the death of your grandfather 1970 onwards but no luck. These records specify the DOB which surprised me. Before 1970 the name is too common and it is impossible I think. If you want to give it a go to satisfy yourself, you could get the free 2-week membership to Ancestry then cancel it (do this in good time though!). |

John - if you are already with Ancestry, why do you need credits? |

I registered with Ancestry a few years ago and after I had found all I need to know, I decided to go pay as you go. Now if I go onto the site and look up it states I need to buy more credits.Am I doing something wrong? is there some other way to be on there. |
