Hi my maiden name is Wendy NUTTALL and I am searching for any records/knowledge of the past of my mother. Does the following name or circumstances ring a bell? My mother was MAYSIE PATRICIA ADELAIDE MORTIMER LEWIS. She was born in July in approx 1922 in London area. Her mother was MAY(maiden name RICHARDSON) and her aunt was ELIZABETH RICHARDSON, a spinster till death who bought her up. I am not sure that Lewis was my mother's actual maiden name, more likely the name given her when her mother maybe married a Lewis later on.But my birth Cetificate and that of my borther's states LEWIS as her maiden name. I know that my mother had what she called a half brother named PERCY LEWIS, who moved to Australia settling in Brisbane Queensland. He was older than my mother Im assuming birth date around 1915 onwards. My mother married an ARTHUR NUTTALLin Salford in 1940 and the marriage record shows Lewis as her maiden name.They eventually left England for Australia and New Guinea sometime in the early 1950's with my brother and sister. I cannot find any birth records for a Maysie Lewis born over this time. There was also a cousin of my mother's that would be of a similar age, I think from another sibling of May and Elizabeth. Her married name is JANE HUNTER. She was a ballerina in royal ballet company before her marriage. She lived in Sutton Coalfield after her marrieage to John Hunter and they had 2 daughters, Ruth and Margaret who would be in their 50's today. Any bells ringing please contact....
