Hi every one Iam trying to find any one who new of a William Earnest Lewis, who had he lived would have been my father in law. My wife, Audrey Davis (nee Lewis) lost her dad in 1960 when she was 10 yrs old. She had a half brother, John & a half sister Janet. Unfortunately both John & his wife have very recently died. William Lewis hailed from Wales & at an early age the family moved to Wolverhampton. Williams father used to be a master butcher in Wolverhampton. I believe they had also lived in Codsall where a brother Roland had some cottages. Ther were also a brother/brothers immigrated to Australia/NewZealand where they became sheep farmers. Before the 2nd world war William had been a coal merchant. He had also been land lord of the True Briton pub in Wolverhampton. He was born around 1906. I would be grateful if anyone could come up with any imformation regarding Audrey!s long lost relations. |
