I am trying to find any information on my grandmother and her family. Her name was May Lewis, I believe that she lived in Ashton/Glossop/Mottram area. She had a sister Louise, who lived in Ashton until she died in the early 1990's. May Lewis married John Harrop (unsure if he was from Cheshire or Bury areas) They both lived in Bury once married, and had 2 children, Jack and Alice. May died around 1927, and was buried at Ashton Cemetary. I also believe that there is a relation named Anna or Hanna, who was the 1st Lady Mayor (not Mayoress) in Mottram/Glossop or Ashton. Lynne |
