Mary LEWIS The Mary Lewis we are looking for (according to her headstone) was born on 5th April 1881 in Corris, North Wales. Mary married my grandfather, Herbert George Dicker, on 12th April 1909. Mary’s age was given as 29 and was resident in South Hampstead, London, working as a domestic servant. Mary’s fathers name was given as Edward Lewis, and his occupation was a Slate Quarry Foreman. As far as we know, there were no children during 16 years of marriage. Mary died on 30th August 1925 in Dormansland, Surrey, and is buried at the church of St. John, in Dormansland. If you think there may be a connection to your family, we would be pleased to hear from you. Best wishes, John & Phyllis Dicker. |
