Trying to find Lewis

hi, im trying to find a 'frederick lewis'. im not sure of the year he would of been born in but it would of probably been between 1896-1904. he lived in birmingham although im not sure if this is where he was actually born and he married my gr grandmother louisa hill (maiden name clutterbuck) in oct quart of 1924 and they had my nan in oct 1925. louisa and frederick didnt stay together for too long because apprently he was a criminal - a jewel thief. my mother also says that he was in a few of the london papers for this reason im not sure of the exact dates but would of been after my nans birth and as my nan never knew him just a few years after. louisa changed her name back to hill after this happened i guess to distance herself from his crimes. does this ring any bells with anyone at all? or does someone know of a charactor similar to this in there history? any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated as im quite new to this and not getting very far. thank you |
