Trying to find information regarding my grandfather Max (Mordecia) Lewis who was born in Bethnal Green on 14/06/1919 to Russian Jewish parents Mary and Joseph. He was married to my nan Peggy (real name Gladys) but died when my mum Gloria was only 4yrs old, shortly after the 2nd world war. His brothers were called Ralph, Solly and Henry and his sisters Esther and Alma. Other details: Ralph (Issy) was married to Jessie and lived in Clapton. Henry lived in Wales. Esther lived in Kingston upon Thames and had children called Pearl and Ian He lived in London both Tottenham and then East Ham but not sure where in London he lived before that. |
