Trying to find info on Thomas Lewis born circa1850 Flintshire, Denbighshire area of North Wales or Cheshire and his wife Elizabeth (nee Davies) cant find a marriage for them, they had a son John David born Denbighshire 1876 but both of his parents were dead by the 1881 census, Story has it that john David went to live with two of his aunts cant find them on the census either they lived in wrexham. So if you have any of these names or places in your tree please get intouch |

Any chance this is John jnr? Second name DAVIES and sister Jane ELIZABETH- with their grandfather in 1881 census? Bit coincidental to have the Elizabeth Davies names in both children's names? If their parents had died, then maybe they went to stay with their mother's family? Ann Jones could have been the "Aunt" you thought they went to? |

The John Davies shown on the 1881 Census by Jayne has to be considered now almost a certainty for being the Father of your Elizabeth Davies. She is showing on the 1861 and 1871 Cesus as the daughter of the John Davies shown, and his Wife Jane. She is given as born in Meifod Montgomeryshire in c 1853.The Ann Jane Jones showing in 1881,is almost certainly the one shown in 1861 as a step-daughter of John Davies, showing that Elizabeth's Mother Jane had been married before. |

At last certificates have turned up and yes Thomas Lewis did die at Llwyn Onn farm in 1878 he was 29 years old and his occupation is farmer but there is no mention of a wife only a sister E Lewis as the informant, the certificate for an Elizabeth Lewis who died in 1880 in the wrexham area was a wife to George Lewis so now the plot thickens still cant find a marriage for Elizabeth Davies and Thomas Lewis in denbighshire area who would have married at the earliest 1868 and at the latest 1877. |
