Elizabeth Lucas is the second wife of my great great grand father Charles Dean (b 1867). Although she's not an ancestor of mine she did marry into the family and I would like to know a bit more about her. She was born about 1875 and had a son Arthur in 1900, but I don't know who Arthurs father is. I would like to know more about her before she married Charles, and whether she was married previously. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Possible that Arthur Lucas is illegitimate, as during the 1911 census Jane Lucas, mother in law was living with the family. This suggests that Elizabeth is the daughter of Jane. |

Thank you for that information. Yes it looks like Arthur may be illegitimate, and not likely Elizabeth was married when she had him. |
