My father was born around 1919 - 1921 in Sydney Australia, but his birth mother died when he was quite small, and he was then cared for by his father. When his natural father became blind, he could no longer be taken care of and subsequently was adopted out. The people who adopted him were named Mapstone, and they lived in Oatley, Sydney. My fathers real name was Victor Gordon Lucas. This is about the only information I have concerning him, and would really like to know what his roots were.
