My mother was Diane Leslie Macleod, she was born in 1906, her father was Robert macleod, Seaforth Highlanders. At quite a young age mother was sent to live with an Aunt Kate in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, sadly I do not know the surname of Aunt Kate but do know that in the same household were cousins Donald and Ishbel. Mother attended school in Stornoway but I do not know which school. I can find no trace of mother prior to 1929 when she married my father H R J Roy in London, please can anyone help me trace her? |

Do you have any of Robert's medals that may give a clue as to where he served and his service number and battalion?? |

Just to throw a wrench into the works, this household in 1871 has the right names in it, too: |
