Solomon Martin c.11.4.1847 at Pembrey, Carmarthen was a seaman/ shipwright who ended up in New Zealand. I know nothing about any marriage either in UK or NZ but I do know that he had two children - Margaret & John. |

Thanks for that. Actually I'm OK on the information that you have provided. John Martin ( 1801 ) was a coastguard and, as such, was posted around the UK quite frequently which is why the children were born all over the place. The big questionmark is about Solomon - did he marry ? if so, where and when ( UK, Australia or NZ ) or was it a common law marriage ? Where were the children born ? When did he die ? What happened to the family ? |
