I am yet again trying to find anyone who has connections to the Martins in the Brixworth area.
I have a william Martin born 1845 in Tetton, his father was I believe William as well.
I can not find his baptism in the records office, his marriage certificate (1869) lists his father as deceased, mother unknown.
I am also trying to find martin deaths post 1845 and pre 1869.
If anyone can help Iwould be grateful.
Brian.

Have you actually been to the CRO and looked, or just on the IGI?
Loads of MARTIN death on freebmd, reg Brixworth, in that time frame

Do you mean TEETON, rather than Tetton? Teeton is a village very near Brixworth

Would it be a good idea for a few people to do over again what has been done?

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1122493

All you need to do is add a post to that thread, it will rise to the top of the general Trying to Find discussion board, and anyone who then reads it will see what two people spent time doing already (and possibly a third who then deleted for want of a reply?) - which you don't seem to have acknowledged.

I'd suggest that anyone wanting to try to help go to that thread and do it there, rather than starting from scratch here.

... Oh well, too late ...
