For those who don't know, Kirkbean is the birthplace of John Paul Jones, the founder of the US Navy.

The IGI has baptism for Caerlaverock (it is wrongly spelt on Hugh Wallis site as Carlaverock) but only for girls! Will check the new familysearch site.

John's death cert should have his parents' names.

Cause of death Senility, medical attendant is also in the same column and something else I can't decipher.

Can't read the informant details properly but think it says Jessie ________ daughter.
