My name is Elaine Martin and I would like to contact anyone knowing the descendents of Augustus Martin, woodcutter, b. 1857 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Married to Elizabeth Knighton b. 1858 Easter Creek. A son William George was b. 24 Dec. 1888 at Rooty Hill, Sydney. 3 brothers and 3 sisters were born prior to this. William served with the Australian Army at Gallipoli in the first world war. After the war he moved to Queensland and married Florence Griffin. He died in North Queensland in 1963. If anyone out there recognises these names I would love to hear from them., |
