HELLO I am looking WORLD WIDE WEB for relatives of WILLIAM ALFRED MARTIN, born around 1870 - 1875 I guess in Sherborne CANADA. Came to South Shields, having run away to sea as a young boy. Married SOPHIA WEBB from the ORKNEY ISLANDS and had 10 childrem 8 survived but have since all died. He was a Foy Boatman. His first child was born about 1898 and he probably married around 1896/7. As he had run away to join a windjammer he never spoke of his famly and nothing was known of the Canadian connections except his father was a cattle dealer. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE. Thanks Jeanne |
