Can anybody out there help me please? I am trying to find out about the Norwegian origins of my Gt. Grandfather, Bernet Martin (Marten). He married my Gt. Grandmother, Ann Bruce in Liverpool 1868. I know that he was a mariner and on the 1871 census he was aboard the vessel Flamsteed at Wellington Dock, Liverpool. they had several children, Frederick, Matilda (My Grandmother) Florence (who died aged 10) Amy Lydia and George. They all lived at Albert Terrace, West Derby, Liverpool. Bernet was also known as Henry and that is all I know of him. Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks carol. |
