Calling all Martins Newcastle/Dumbarton Do you have a Hugh, Michael or John Martin born c1910 in your Family? John is my grand father and Hugh and Michael are his brothers, they remain a great mystery within the family. John was born in Alexandria Dunbartonshire c1914, as for Hugh & Michael there birth places remain a mystery. There is a connection with Newcastle (Walkerville?) in England where John and Michael are said to have lived the latter having something to do with the fire service. All three brothers served during WW2 Hugh(RAF) Michael(Marines) John (Infantry) The Irish connection comes from the three's Father also John Martin who was born in Ireland, Cork possibly. Any help or information would be very much appreciated as the trail has run cold! Thanks John Martin |
