hi there, im having problems ive not encountered before. im looking for a marriage between james mitchell and a jane in york between 1842 and 1844.

i have looked on fbmd and found a james mitchell but it is giving me a list of everyone on the page so im not sure how to find out which is his wife. there is no jane listed, instead there are 3 mary's and a francis. im guessing she was known by jane out of choice. can anyone help me with which lady is his wife please

The only James/Jane marriage I have found in a ten year timescale is
James Mitchell/Jane Bland March quarter 1850 in York ref 23 733.

my james died in 1879. i have him from 1851 onwards and his first child was born in 1844 june section, also census claims wife jane as been born in 1827, which is how i narrowd dates for wedding, she would of been 15-16 in 1842.

i found this census in 1841, i notice one of the women in the marriages i found was a mary dickenson, also i have 2 of james sons names william and george,
what do you think? could of married her daughter?
